Monday, May 14, 2007 what a spot!w0ot! reached office @ 8AM! what a feeling!as usual, the Monday work volume is heavier than the mid-late week load. still manageable tho. but still donch like it. i wont mind thru the weekends and get off days on Mon n Tue instead! Women. young or old, fat or slim, tall or short, chio or not, u'd never understand them. no wonder they all say, "The men don't get it." how true! i dated my mom out today, and she brought my youngest bro along, with my dad. duhz.. don tell me i am to pay for her facial and body scrub, my brother's (does he even need onE?) and my dad's(trust me, he wont appreciate it)! i mean, im not even intending to join her for it(almost broke tis month already, and ½ a month more to stick it out! >.<) already. so there goes! appt was @ 7pm. u know, moms are all the same. not that im being stereotypical, but she always nagged at us to hurry to sch/work every morning so well, i thought she was one who's never late! and i was so wrong. a call left my mobile @ 6.55pm, and rang her phone. she jus left house! argh. good thing i was prepared for this, and made another appt @ 7.45pm instead. clever boh? :P we went in, and she was puzzled. "不是去吃meh？为什么来这种男人消遣的地方？？" spa = 男人消遣的地方?? since when? 2 mins ago?? and to think i thought it was for ladies before! anyway, the package includes a facial scrub which might take 20 mins, a full body scrub @ about 30mins, and massage for a hr, or half. the moment she found out she had to undress, change to wearing the disposable undies provided, wrapped in towel, she stormed out angrily. "为什么带我来这种地方？！"， leaving me speechless, amidst 3 ladies, who took turns looking at me for a minute, before i broke the silence: "oh man, and i thought this could be a surprise for her..!" "seems like the surprise's on you instead" :) "yeah. din expect anything like this to happen." i bet they din, too. anyway, Adeline(did i get her name right?) was kind enough to give away this small gift scrub for the body to me, saying i can always pamper my mom @ home instead, which i gracefully accepted. how nice of her..! now im stuck with this spa voucher again. should i use it myself, or grant this to my big, fat lying Dad whom so shamelessly asked "Free 的啊？还有吗？" even when Mom's still fuming over my bringing her to that “男人消遣的地方”。 but his bday's jus around the corner.. what should i do? we ended up dining @ 重庆麻辣火锅. been quite sometime since i last visited.. prolly 3 yrs ago, when kenny spoilt us with that S$10k lottery treat?? anyway, food here is only edible, nothing more. well, at least she likes it. at least she's smiling. and a lady's smile is worth a million pounds , +1 too, if she's that special one of the 2 ladies in ur life =) my brother made a comment about my answering the phone call today. not something i'd be proud of, yet something that'd really set me pondering for at least until i arrive at a reasonably logical answer. sigh. +1 more thing to the already long list of matters on my mind. =| moody-talk aside; its Orientation day tmr! gee.. so sexcited bout it! means no work tmr lah! not working is enuff reason to rejoice liao. ^^ California Fitness is having this promo -- for 1st timers only, 1st 6 weeks non-obligatory trial membership, applicable for only alternate days, + 1 complimentary personal training session by a qualified Personal Trainer, for only 20singd! is there anyone interested in accompanying me for the 6 weeks to come? gee.. i think i juz found the purrfect sexcuse to get that pair of gym shoes, and shoe bag to match. argh, aint that mean im gonna spend yet again, when i should be controlling expenses at this moment?! total damage done today = $264.60. gosh.. (O.O) hokay. lemme declare something before i hit the pillow. im happily broke. whoever said mondays gotta be a blue day? ;) |
