PAYDAY!w0ot! guess what! its payday on mayday! what coincidence.. anyway its time for retail therapy as promised (i promised myself). peepz whom i owe treats and whom treats are owing to me, please stand up(or rather, pls owe up!!) :P3hrs last night before bedtime, i couldnt find the carrier i took a liking at taka 2 days ago. does this mean that its not worth the money im gonna splurge on? should i just get something else? someone told me to go by my feelings.. 喜欢就好，感觉对，就买。anyway, i hope i can find the pics and post em here. i'd like comments. worse come to worse i go take pic-whoring @ taka then come back to furnish em here! :P buying a present is a game of chance. something someone "hinted" might not be the one he/she really likes, and just when u thought you could give that lil pleasant surprise when u bought that thing u thought they'd like so much.. they tell you its too small.. too big.. too girly.. colors don match.. not their style.. the lot. yea, right. eh, ur giving a gift.. not a surprise. a surprise is a bonus. its simply icing on the cake. nice to have, but nt necessary. rembr there ARE ppl who prefers cakes without icing =] a gift, is an effort. u think its easy to pinpoint that particular thing u had in mind yet u never say it out(if u said it out, then its a totally diff thing liao)? Try buying some TOTO / 4D / Big Sweep over the weekend. a gift, is an expression of what the other party think of you. ie. what would u think of a person who gave u expensive wallets, watches, accessories like rings, necklaces, bracelets, bird nest(did i list this wrongly?) versus items which are of lower monetary value, like home-made cookies, fortune keychains, condoms(this one too?). ok lah.. haha the bird nest and condom is a joke. but u know what i mean ;) if u cant think, or cant decide what to buy, or no time, no money, no effort etc to even choose a gift.. pls. save the trouble. unless ur so god-damned sure about ur last minute decision's gonna make the other party gasp with joy, or squeeze the last breath outta you.. a belated prezzie is still better than a last-minute, meaningless / off-the-occasion significance prezzie. or, don buy at all. good food at a nice place is always welcomed. or give the person an excuse to rembr u nicely by giving ur fullest attention, even for a minute. a gift, is the thought that counts. what the gift is, really expresses the level of imptance the person has in you. a gift need not be sexpensive. a gift need not require u to travel halfway across the globe(but if u can, lagi better lah). esp giving something meaningful to that special someone =] |
